What you need to know!

  • We always use the highest quality ingredients and your sponge cakes will be baked as near as possible to the date required to ensure they fresh.
  • Fruit cakes need to be made in advance to mature, 4-6 weeks is the optimum amount of time.
  • Although we can produce cakes at short notice, it is best to book early to avoid disappointment and to meet your exact requirements.
  • Cakes valued up to £50 require a £10 deposit, over £100 require £20 and wedding cakes all require a £50 deposit. Please note all deposits are non-refundable. No booking will be secured without a deposit. The balance of the order is due on collection, with the exception of wedding orders. The balance must be paid in cash or by card.The balance for wedding orders is due no later than 2 weeks before the event. The total cost is non-refundable if your order is cancelled within 5 days of the order due date. Any refunds before this time are at our discretion.
  • Cakes can be plain sponge with jam and buttercream, with lemon curd and lemon buttercream. chocolate with ganache filling, carrot cake, rich fruit, coffee or our new flavour red velvet.
  • Special dietary requirements can be met for example gluten, nut or egg free for no extra charge. Our regular products may contain, or contain traces of milk, wheat, nuts, soya, and other allergens. It is your responsibility to ensure all recipients are aware of this information, we cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions to these products.
  • Cake stands are available to hire for £20 with a £60 refundable deposit on return. Stands must be returned within 3 days, unless otherwise arranged.
  • Amendments to the design and/or flavours of your cake may not be possible without sufficient notice but we will try if you ask. We reserve the right to make slight amendments to the design or flavour of the cake without prior notice if I feel it is necessary and unavoidable. Cake making isn’t an exact science and even if a photograph is supplied to be copied, we have our own style, and as hard as we try, our creation will always look slightly different.
  • We make every effort to match ribbons for the cake with swatches of material or other colour samples you provide, however this is not always possible and an exact match may not be achieved. but we will do our best or advise you otherwise. Icing/buttercream cannot always be coloured to match swatches provided, though every effort will be taken to get an accurate representation.
  • We take photos of all our cakes and products, these are our images and we reserve the right to use these on websites/social media sites without your prior consent but not before you have seen the cake yourself!
  • Delivery can be arranged on wedding cakes for a nominal charge but cakes are fully boxed for easy transportation.
  • We cannot accept responsibility for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. Wedding Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and a coolish room. Please DO NOT REFRIDGERATE unless otherwise advised to do so.
